Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.Doxycycline has bacteriostatic activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gramnegative bacteria.UNIDOX 50 is indicated for gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused bydoxycycline sensitive micro-organisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E.coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus andStreptococcus spp. in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.
