Unidox Oxy
Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomalsubunit. Doxycycline has bacteriostatic activity against a broad range of Gram-positiveand Gram-negative bacteria. Oxytetracycline inhibits translation, which results in celldeath. It binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and prevents the amino-acyl tRNA frombinding to the A site of the ribosome, inhibiting protein synthesis (elongation).Unidox Oxy for gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline and doxycycline sensitive microorganisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus,Streptococcus and Treponema spp. in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.
