Closantel is a broad-spectrum anti parasitic agent used against several species and developmental stages of
trematodes, nematodes, and arthropods. The anti-trematodethe activity of closantel is mainly used against
liver fluke.Prophylaxis and treatment of worm infections in calves, cattle, goats and, sheep-like Fasciola,
Hypoderma and Oestrus spp. Although it is a veteran anthelmintic, its use is increasing because it is
often a valid alternative where the resistance to gastrointestinal round worms or flukes is a problem.
