Uniflox Colistin
nrofloxacin has antibacterial activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-negative and Grampositivebacteria. Its mechanism of action is to act by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase (a type-IItopoisomerase), thereby preventing DNA supercoiling, and DNA synthesis. The bacterial cellmembrane is the initial site of action for colistin. Colistin binds to LPSs and phospholipids inthe outer cell membrane of Gram-negative bacteria.UNIFLOX COLISTIN is indicated for gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infectionscaused by colistin and enrofloxacin sensitive microorganisms like Campylobacter, E. coli,Haemophilus, Mycoplasma,Pasteurella, and Salmonella spp. in poultry
