Unithro Dox

Erythromycin displays bacteriostatic activity or inhibits growth of bacteria, especially at higher concentrations. By binding to the 50s subunit of the bacterial rRNA complex, protein synthesis and subsequent structure and function processes critical for life or replication are inhibited. Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. Doxycycline has bacteriostatic activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.Unithro Dox is indicated for the treatment of diseases in poultry such as CRD complex(Complicated Chronic Respiratory Disease), Fowl cholera, Streptococcosis, InfectiousCoryza, Staphylococcosis, Salmonellosis, Colibacillosis and other diseases that aresensitive to erythromycin and doxycycline.
