Unithro Tylosin

Erythromycin and other macrolide antibiotics inhibit protein synthesis by binding tothe 23S rRNA molecule (in the 50S subunit) of the bacterial ribosome blocking the exitof the growing peptide chain. of sensitive microorganisms. Tylosin has a bacteriostaticeffect on susceptible organisms, caused by inhibition of protein synthesis throughbinding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome.Indicated for the treatment of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused byMycoplasma infections, and for the treatment of infectious (respiratory) diseases dueto erythromycin-sensitive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (e.g. infectiousarthritis), Haemophilus paragallinarum (e.g. infectious coryza), and Pasteurellamultocida (e.g. pasteurellosis; pneumonia) in poultry. Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by tylosin sensitive micro-organisms like Campylobacter, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus,Streptococcus and Treponema spp. in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.
